Mitzy Mickolas
Anyone can appreciate the classic architectural details of a stunningly restored 1920’s Heights home, but it takes a keen eye, an imaginative mind, and a lot of dedication to actually restore one. If you knew Mitzi, you wouldn’t be surprised at all to learn that she started on her first home renovation just after she got married in her early 20’s.
Most newly blushing brides that young would never have dreamed of such an undertaking, but that’s just Mitzi’s style. She started with a 1920’s four-plex, and painstakingly converted it back into a single family home for her new family. That process sparked Mitzi’s life-long passion for historic homes, restoration, and real estate.
But, she didn’t start selling homes right away. In fact, Mitzi can brag about an amazing career owning and managing luxury retail stores, most impressively with 35 years of high-end sales experience. When she moved to Houston in 1992, she fell in love with the Heights and today, she helps buyers and sellers throughout the Heights and surrounding areas realize their dreams and passions.
And that 35 years of luxury sales experience? Let’s just say that Mitzi’s clients enjoy unsurpassed service from a remarkable agent who is a true original in her own right. When she isn’t working with clients in the Heights, she’s usually busy volunteering for the Houston Heights Home Tour or the Bayou City Art Festival. Or, you might catch her working on an amazing craft project of her own. |
